Dies ist nun das lang erwartete erste Vinyl-Release der umtriebigen
mitteldeutschen Hardcore-/ Screamo-KomboYfere. Eigentliche schade, dass
sie nur mit einem "richtigen" Song vertreten sind – der
andere ist ein Spoken-Word-Stück. Das reicht kaum, um die grenzenlose
Energie dieser Band vollständig zu erfassen, obwohl es ein grandioser
Song ist, mit abwechselnd gesprochenen und geschrieenem Gesang auf
allerhöchstem Niveau, metallischen und druckvollen Gitarren und gutem
politischen bzw. sozialkritischen Text. Dry Conditions aus Dänemark
schlagen in eine vollkommen andere Kerbe, nämlich soliden melodiösen
rockigen hardcore-punk. Leider gibt's auch von denen eigentlich viel zu
wenig auf dieser 7", nur einen Zweieinhalb-Minuten-Song – das
Elektrogeplänkelstück und den 4-Sekunden-Song (!) kann man nicht
wirklich zählen. Es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall, diese 7" zu
besitzen, schon wegen Yfere, und trotzdem zu hoffen, dass bald noch mehr
Vinyl dieser Ausnahmeband erscheint April 2006.
Naja, Dry Conditions sind aus der Schweiz, aber trotzdem ein nettes Review :-)...
