The LOVE.LIFE - CD is finally out. 
The BELLE EPOQUE - 7" is also available now. This was co-released with Escucha Records. There are about 80 subscriber versions with the stripe cover and about 20 with a stripe cover. The rest has different, handscreened covers:

In the next weeks I will send out all the subscriber copies (everyone should have 7x 7"s in the end. There were supposed to be 8x 7"s but the one with REDS won't be happening). There will be a special envelope for the subscribers to put all the records in. Each of the subscriber packages will also contain a Love.Life - CD with a subscriber only cover. 
I'm very, very, very sorry for the delay, but I hope I can take care of everythig until the end of the year.
I'm co-releasing the THOUGHTS PAINT THE SKY - Hier spielt die Musik - 12". It should be out in a week or 2.
I'm also planning to co-release a split tape with 2 Turkish screamo bands; LOST IN BAZAAR and BURN HER LETTERS. This will be released with the Australian label Don't Blink Records.
Apart from those, no new releases are planned. Seriously.

October, 5th
the DYING IN MOTION - LP is out now. The FERGUSON - one-sided 12" will be available in two weeks.
I will release the European version of the new RAEIN - CD together with Red Cars Go Faster. This should be out fairly soon.
Also going to press next week: BELLE EPOQUE - Single Series - 7".
The HEAVEN IN HER ARMS - LP is sold out.

August, 13th
First off I want to make it clear that it was no-one's fault in particular that Mr. Willis broke up.  Maybe it was just the grind of 4 pretty different people being stuffed into little cars for too long that wore us down. I'm not the kind of person who cries over spilt milk. What's gone is gone. But I still would like to thank everyone who has ever helped us out, especially Mario from SYNALGIE, the awesoem kids in ONLY FOR THE SAKE OF ACHING and ARWITH (who will also release a discography of our stuff on cassette).

Stefan will go on tour with DYING IN MOTION at the end of August. ANDREAS will probably also go on some kind of tour with his band FALL APART. (I have never seen this band live, so I'm not sure theyreally exist.)
The DYING IN MOTION - LP is as good as out. We are only waiting for the covers.

The same can be said for the FERGUSON - one-sided 12". This is the band I was in before I was in SUNDOWNER. We recorded 4 songs in the mid-nineties which never came out. Kiki Unsinn (xkikix Records and ex-FERGUSON bass player) will finance this very small pressing of 200 copies (or is it 300?). They will come in hand decorated envelope sleeves and should be out in about 1month.

July, 8th
MR. WILLIS OF OHIO played their last show at CRY ME A RIVER last friday. That was also the release party of our 7" which is available now! 4 new songs, handmade covers, DIY recording - please check it out. We got a lot of good feedback after we played and that makes the  break up pretty sad. However, our singer Stefan now plays bass in DYING IN MOTION whose LP I'm releasing together with BLESSED HANDS Records. Expect some beautiful, intense, French style screamo! And the rest of us will try to get some new band off the ground, expect a mix of old school emo, hand-clapping and some singalong parts. :-D

I finally got my share of the KHERE / HER BREATH ON GLASS - 10". It was stuck at customs for a while. But it's available now. These turned out great! They come in a lovely gatefold sleeve and are just amazing!

Thanks to everyone who wrote to me about ending APE. It is very much appreciated to hear all these nice things about the label ;-) 

THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU ALL FOR SUPPORTING THE OLD APE OVER THE PAST 9 YEARS!!!!

By the way, Ape will continue a little longer, and will not end abruptly in the next few months. There are still a few records coming out. I won't disappear THAT fast. Hopefully things will have wound down by the end of the year. As soon as Andreas takes over the mailorder I will link him up here, so don't worry, you won't miss out!

Long time, no speak.

Big news first:
I will be going back to college in the fall. I will give up the label. I will move to Basel. I don't really feel like posting the "why's" right now. I just felt it was time for something new.

The distro/mailorder will be taken over by my friend Andreas Gehringer. He will start his own distro and incorporate mine. It will be all new and have a shopping cart system and he will be much faster and more reliable than me. So, that's good news all around. I will link you up when that's ready.

 So, what will happen with...

.... the Single Series?
The Single Series will continue with the last 7" from BELLE EPOQUE. This one might be a limited pressing of 300, though. Subscribers are still supposed to get 2 more 7"s; one with REDS but they broke up, and a subscribers only 7" compilation.  I haven't decided what will happen with that yet. As I will be even more broke as a student than I am now, I really would prefer to just return the subscribers a couple of Euros than to have to invest another 1200 Euros in 2 more records. However I will try to come up with a solution that is cool for everyone (hopefully), carrying in mind that the subscribers are supposed to be getting something exclusive at the end of the series.
